Become an I-SWIS Facilitator This Year!
Have you thought about getting I-SWIS started in your school? Have you looked for a facilitator who can help you with readiness only to find there isn’t an I-SWIS facilitator near you? Now is a great time to see about getting yourself certified to facilitate I-SWIS where you are!
I-SWIS is the application in the SWIS Suite where you keep everything related to the individual student plans you track. It’s the place where you set up custom data entry pages, upload assessments, keep team members informed, and watch to see how the plan is working. It’s the organized team member you always needed.
To get I-SWIS, you need a certified facilitator. To become a certified facilitator, you need to attend a training. Lucky for you we have trainings coming up!
During this two-day, in-person training, you’ll get hands on experience setting up example case files, creating custom data entry pages, and generating individual student reports. You’ll work with our knowledgeable trainers as you discuss how to make plan changes, upload functional behavior assessments, and give access to team members working with each student. There are pre-training, online activities to get you familiar with the application. Post-training, online activities solidify what you learned during those two days and build your confidence to put everything into practice at your school.
You don’t need to have experience with any of the other SWIS Suite applications. If you have a basic understanding of FBAs and individualized support plans, and you want to support your schools to use I-SWIS, this training is for you!
There are four I-SWIS facilitator trainings open now for registration:
Where: Okemos, MI
When: September 18-19, 2018
Cost: This training is FREE for districts who partner with Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative. The cost for non-partnering participants is $30.

Where: Salem, OR
When: September 19-20, 2018
Cost: This training is $50 for anyone participating from the Salem-Keizer School District. For participants coming from outside Salem-Keizer, the cost is $300.

Cost: $300
Details: This training is offered the Tuesday and Wednesday before the PBIS Leadership Forum in Chicago. It isn’t part of the pre-conference events, but if you don’t have anything scheduled these days AND you will be in the area, we’d love to see you at the training.
