Today, we’re introducing an important update to our multi-factor authentication (MFA) option: IT leaders can now require MFA for everyone in the schools they support in addition to individual users turning it on for themselves.

This update builds on existing MFA features by giving you more flexibility and protection for keeping student and staff information secure. For schools and districts looking to establish consistent security standards in particular, this option ensures everyone’s login is protected in the same way.

Here’s how it works:

  • To make MFA a requirement for your school(s), simply send our Customer Support Team an email letting us know the name of the organization(s) you’d like to require MFA. We’ll take care of the rest.
  • For example, if you ask us to require MFA for the entire ABC District, all users at any school in the district will be required to enable MFA the next time they log into their PBISApps account. The process to enable MFA from there remains the same.

Whether your school or district has a dedicated IT department or a handful of tech-savvy staff members, this update supports the realities schools face, giving everyone:

  • Better protection with minimal disruption
  • Stronger security requirements
  • Flexibility to address different needs

By giving both individuals and IT leaders more control, this update makes it easier to keep data safe while supporting the way schools actually work.
